Some pictures of Elke in several stages of building
(allow some time to download pictures)
Main-frame after painting
The assembled chassis with RC-prepared laser-cut floorplate
Top view of the chassis. Far right: blower pipe with nozzle necessary for coal-firing. Left side: laser-cut floorplate with hole for the coal-fired boiler
The coal-fired boiler mounted to the chassis with all fittings (pressure gauge, water gauge, regulator valve, whistle valve, blower valve, Goodall valve, safety valve and lubricator). The wires coming from the servos will be connected to the battery & receiver box.
Top view Elke with opened roof. The battery/receicer box is visible under the roof. Watch the very neat cab lay-out leaving ample space for a driver and fire-man.
