Some pictures of Irene in several stages of building
(allow some time to download pictures)
Main-frame after painting
Top view of the chassis. Far left: blower pipe with nozzle necessary for coal-firing. Right side: laser-cut floorplate with cut-out for the coal-fired boiler
The coal-fired boiler mounted to the chassis with all fittings (pressure gauge, water gauge, regulator valve, whistle valve, blower valve, Goodall valve, safety valve and lubricator). The wires coming from the servos will be connected to the battery & receiver box.
Top view Irene with opened roof. The battery/receicer box is visible under the roof. Watch the very neat cab lay-out leaving ample space for a driver and fire-man.
